Shawnee Mountain Ski Resort offers a variety of winter activities for families and individuals alike. To make the most of your visit, it’s essential to understand the resort's hours of operation, ticket options, and available services. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you plan your trip.
Hours of Operation and Season Dates
Planning your trip to Shawnee Mountain requires knowing the operational dates and hours. The projected opening date for the 25/26 season is December 12, 2025, and the projected closing date is March 29, 2026. Keep in mind that these dates are weather-dependent.
The resort often has a 4 PM close when there is no night skiing. Check the calendar search bar on the Shawnee Mountain website to view specific lift hours for the entire season.
Purchasing Tickets
Tickets must be purchased at the ticket windows, unless otherwise specified. Note that the prices listed at the ticket windows are at-the-window prices. For potential discounts, consider purchasing tickets online in advance.
Lift Tickets
To be out on the snow, you will need a lift ticket and must be actively participating in a snow sport. Children 46 inches and under receive a free lift ticket with a paying adult. You can purchase your lift tickets online by clicking here.

Double Up Deals
Double Up Deals are valid anytime throughout the season they were purchased for and are transferable among immediate family members only. They will never be extended to another season.
Discounts
Shawnee Mountain offers discounts for college students, active military personnel, and seniors. Free skiing is available for guests aged 70 and over. All discounts require an ID to be shown at the ticket window.
Dynamic Pricing
Shawnee Mountain uses dynamic pricing, similar to airlines and hotels, offering a number of discounted tickets per day. You may add the discounted ticket to your cart, and if you need more than is available at that price tier, you can continue to purchase from the next available tier. Purchasing tickets online in advance allows you to take advantage of these discounts.
Flex Ticket Option
If you are concerned about choosing a date, Shawnee Mountain offers a Flex Ticket for $25. This option allows you to reschedule your trip to another date (of equal or lesser value) anytime during the current season. The $25 Flex covers everything in your cart, so you only need to add one Flex Ticket to your order to insure it all. The Flexible Ticket is never refundable, and it's only good for a one-time change for the current season.
For a flat fee of just $25 per itinerary, you are protected from losing your trip should inclement weather, illness, car troubles, etc. prevent you from coming on your scheduled date.
