Snowbowl Board Rental Options: Your Guide to Hitting the Slopes

The Snowbowl offers a variety of equipment for rent, ensuring you have everything you need for an unforgettable day on the slopes. From beginner-friendly gear to high-performance rentals and demos for experienced skiers, they’ve got you covered. Here's everything you need to know about Snowbowl's rental options.

Booking Your Rentals

Need Rentals? Book your ski and snowboard rentals online and head straight to the rental shop! Rental gear can be purchased ahead of time by adding it onto your lift ticket purchase at checkout. Day rental packages are available in-person on-site on a first come, first served basis on any day that the Snowbowl is operating.

If you have purchased your lift tickets and rentals online, there’s no need to visit the ticket windows upon arrival. Once checked in, you will pick up your boots and helmets to try on. Once all of your gear is fitting properly, proceed to the boot checkout to continue the process of picking up your skis or snowboard.

Do I need to purchase a separate lift ticket?

Yes. The rental prices do not include a lift ticket. When you purchase a ticket from our e-store you have the option to add on rental packages.

Available Sizes

As a rental shop, Snowbowl carries a variety of sizes in all of their equipment to best accommodate your needs:

  • Available ski sizes: 70cm-177cm
  • Available ski boot sizes: Toddler 9-12, Junior 1-8, Adult 4-14.5 (men's)
  • Available snowboard sizes: 100cm-163cm
  • Available snowboard boot sizes: Junior 1-Adult 15 (men's)
  • Children must be at least 48" tall to use a rental snowboard.
  • Ski boots cannot be rented without skis, but skis can be rented to fit personal boots.

Demo Program

Try before you buy with our Demo program. You can test out as many demo sets as you want within one rental period, allowing you to find the product that’s right for you! Demo equipment is recommended for intermediate and advanced riders only.

Love your gear and want to keep it? You can purchase it at the end of the season. Best for intermediate to advanced skiers. Includes top-of-the-line, brand-new skis with a range of performance options. Prices vary based on equipment selection - generally around 50% of the ski’s retail value.

Choose from a curated selection of Nordica, Elan, Rossignol, Atomic, Salomon, Black Crows, Volkl, Black Diamond, Scott, and Dynastar. Test before you buy, with the flexibility to purchase gear during the season.

Other Rental Options

A Sno-Go ski bike is a fun new way for anyone to enjoy the winter slopes with no prior experience! The Sno-Go is a bike-like device with three skis, a chairlift loading hook, and an extremely easy learning curve for gliding down the ski slopes.

Season Leases

Interested in a longer term rental or season lease? Gear up for the whole season with our hassle-free and cost effective option for you and your whole family. You keep the gear for the whole season giving you the freedom to ski not only at the Snowbowl but also at any other destination you choose.

Important Information

  • All equipment must be returned by 4:30 PM.
  • Equipment is due back by 4:30 pm.
  • Closed: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Years Day

Can I keep my equipment overnight?

If you have rented equipment for two or more days, you are welcome to keep all of your equipment (skis, snowboards, boots, helmets) overnight. Equipment will be due back by 4:30 PM on the last day of your rental purchase. To ensure a smooth rental experience, we recommend that you either take all equipment overnight or return all equipment each day.

Can I exchange my equipment?

Yes! You may exchange your skis for a snowboard or your snowboard for skis.

Can I use my own ski boots?

Yes! You are welcome to use your own ski boots for our rentals or demo program. Please note that these must be alpine style boots as touring or other styles may not be compatible with our bindings.

Are lockers available?

Yes! Lockers are located just outside the Hart Prairie Rental Shop and are able to be rented for the day starting at just $7. Please note that lockers are first come, first serve, and you pay upon arrival in the locker room.

Tuning and Service

The Snowbowl Ski Shop offers expert tuning, service, and repair work to keep your gear performing at its best all season long. From quick waxes and edge sharpening to full performance tunes and base repairs, our experienced techs have you covered. Need a binding check or mount? Tuning and service work is available at the Snowbowl Ski Shop.

Our TRAILSIDE location is right next door with the same operating hours as the Snow Bowl. On top of carrying a great selection of winter gear from brands like DPS, Atomic, Blizzard, and Salomon. We offer full-service ski and snowboard tuning, binding mounting, binding testing, and boot fitting services to keep your skis and boards running fast all season long.

Rental process times vary depending on many variables. Please see our Hours of Operation for “Rentals at Hart Prairie Lodge” to know when the rental shop opens on the day of your visit.
