The Vail Concours is a three-day automotive event hosted in Vail, Colorado, from September 12-14. Since 2009, the Vail Concours draws a diverse group of automotive enthusiasts from across the United States and Canada.
Entries range from contemporary supercars and sports cars to vintage collector cars and motorcycles. Every year, the organizers seek new ways to have fun and keep the event fresh.
Event Highlights
The Vail Concours features a variety of activities suitable for all ages. Whether you’re a family looking for a fun outing, a pet lover seeking dog-friendly events, a couple in search of scenic photo spots, or a group gathering for shared meals and activities, the Vail Concours offers something for everyone.
- Friday, September 12: Embark on a scenic drive from Vail to Steamboat Springs, with a picnic lunch along the way.
- Friday Evening: Enjoy the “Cars & Cocktails” Texas BBQ Dinner, complete with live music and dancing.
- Saturday, September 13: Offers the “Cars & Coffee Car Show,” showcasing a diverse array of vehicles from antique classics to modern supercars.
- Sunday, September 14: The main event, the Vail Concours Car Show, takes place, featuring over 100 pristine cars displayed throughout Lionshead Village. This event is free to attend and open to the public.
Cars entered in the show are staged both on the lawn at the base of Vail Mountain and in Lionshead Village (a pedestrian mall).
Changes for This Year
The biggest change this year is how the organizers are registering the concours. There were comments that it felt a bit cramped last year, and the organizers agree. They are spreading out to allow easier access for spectators and to keep the valued cars safe.

When you register, you will find two tickets from which to choose: Lionshead Grass and Lionshead Village. Register early to get your first choice.

Volunteer Opportunities
The Vail Concours is 100% volunteer-produced. Volunteers are needed to act as hosts and judges. Hosts act as event ambassadors and are critical to safely guiding cars in and out of areas that are used by pedestrians and cyclists. Many of our volunteers are enthusiasts who are not competing.
Volunteer Roles:
- Hosts: Event ambassadors who guide cars safely.
- Judges: Evaluate the entered vehicles.
Charitable Support
The Vail Concours is a 501(c)(3) non-profit supporting local non-profit organizations. Proceeds this year will support the Vail Valley Charitable Fund and the Epic Promise Employee Foundation.
