Daniel Kristo, born on June 18, 1990, is an American professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Coventry Blaze in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). His career spans from college hockey at the University of North Dakota (UND) to various professional leagues, including the NHL and AHL.

Early Career and Draft

Before his college career, Kristo spent the 2008-09 season with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL, where he ranked third on the team in scoring with 57 points (22 goals, 35 assists) in 50 games. He led the team in assists and ranked third on the squad with eight power-play goals. Kristo was selected to play in the 2009 USHL Prospects/All-Star Game.

Kristo was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round (56th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Professional Career

Following his successful college career, Kristo signed with the NHL's Montreal Canadiens. He made his professional debut with the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, appearing in nine games and recording three assists. He won a bronze medal with the United States at the 2013 IIHF World Championship in Stockholm in May.

On July 2, 2015, Kristo signed a one-year, two-way contract with the St. Louis Blues as a free agent after leaving the Rangers. During the 2015â16 season, he played with the Blues' AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, where he scored 25 goals and 48 points in 71 games.

Kristo also played for various other teams, including the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, Dinamo Riga (KHL), Kunlun Red Star (KHL), Augsburger Panther (DEL), RytÃÅi Kladno (Czech Extraliga), and Sheffield Steelers (EIHL).

Personal Life

Danny Kristo is the son of Mark and Mary Kristo. Kristo's second cousin, Ben Blood, was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
