Hoodoo Ski Area offers a variety of cross-country skiing trails for all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced skier, there's something for everyone to enjoy. This guide provides an overview of the trails, rental information, and lesson options available at Hoodoo Ski Area.
Nordic Trail Grooming Schedule
To ensure the best possible skiing experience, Nordic Trails are groomed on the following days:
- Friday
- Saturday
- Sunday
- Holiday Mondays
On most non-holiday Wednesdays and Thursdays, the cross country skiing trails are not groomed. During these times, access to the Nordic ski trails is FREE.
Ski Rentals
If you need to rent equipment, Hoodoo Ski Area offers the following rates:
- Adults (ages 13-64): $25
- Juniors (ages 6-12): $20
- Seniors (ages 65+): $20
Please note that Peak Pricing applies during Winter Break, MLK Weekend, Winter Carnival, and Presidents’ Day Weekend.

Ski Lessons
Hoodoo Ski Area provides Cross Country Ski lessons that include a rental, a 1.5-hour lesson, and a Nordic trails ticket. More advanced ski lessons are also available for group or private lesson prices.

Trail Descriptions
Hogg Meadow Loop
Hogg Meadow Loop is a gentle, rolling trail that is about 2.3K round trip when combined with Hogg Meadow Loop. It is excellent for beginners.
Hayrick Glade
Hayrick Glade is for the intermediate cross country skier. It is a small diversion accessed from the Hogg Meadow Trail.
Nordic Skiing at Hoodoo
Manzanita Chair Access
Hayrick Glade is open on weekends and holidays (weather permitting) from 9 am until 4 pm. Access is gained via the Manzanita Chair, exit by downhill runs only.

The advanced 8.8k cross country skiing trail is the most challenging trail system. The views are breathtaking, but the cross country skiing is not for beginners!
