Despite these setbacks, Holland's determination and skill shone through. He expressed his excitement about the venue and the course, praising its design and the strategic elements it offered.
“This venue kicks a**,” Holland said. “The slope is perfect, the jumps were big and there are some tactics and strategy involved. I like courses that are big and wide open with strategy-it makes you think a little more versus a holeshot scenario."

Holland has had great success in his snowboardcross career, including seven X Games gold medals.

"Losses shape us, they truly do," he told the students. "They shape us, they make us hungry... It's not the X Games, it's that loss at the Olympics that I have vivid memories of. But I don't view it as a negative, I view it as a positive."
He emphasized that every loss presented a new opportunity to learn and motivate him for the future.
"One of the hardest and most rewarding aspects of sport is the adversity," he said. "The more high-intensity situations you put yourself in, the better you'll be when they occur."
