A Brief History

The Blackcomb Lodge opened in December 1980. Designed in the late 1970s by the award-winning architectural firm of Rhone and Morton, it was conceived as a world-class Ski Lodge Hotel on Lot One of the new Whistler Village.

No expense was spared during the construction of the Lodge. The building anchors the design of the village, strategically located on the corner of Skier’s Approach and Village Square, facing both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. The building’s restaurants and bars have windows looking directly onto the stroll. The Hotel’s entrance opens into the Village Square accessing everything Whistler has to offer within a few steps.

The hotel rooms have been completely renovated while keeping the authentic Whistler Design that is inspired by the mountain location.

Location and Accessibility

The lodge is located in the Benchlands, offering a quiet location away from the noise of Whistler Village. A lovely short walk along Fitzsimmons trail leads to the amenities of the village.

You can easily access Blackcomb Mountain by crossing the street from the front of the building and walking a maximum of 5 minutes to the base. There is an upper trail which leads to the front door after a walk across the road. Pretty much ski in/out as a walk across the road leads to a short trail to the base of Blackcomb gondola which at busy times has a much shorter line up than Whistler gondola.

Payment Policies

If the arrival date is within 45 days, the full payment is due to confirm the accommodation. If the arrival date is greater than 45 days, 25% of the accommodation value will be due to confirm the accommodation. The remaining 75% balance will be due 45 days before the arrival date. Rules and Regulations

Compliance with municipal bylaws and respect for other guests are expected.

Observe municipal bylaws (no amplified music or speech between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am).
Be considerate of neighbors and adhere to rules for common areas.
Complaints of excessive noise will result in eviction without refund.
The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published.
We reserve the right to evict any guest who is behaving in an unruly manner.

Liability

Neither the Property Owner nor Rental Manager shall be held liable for any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising out of any theft, accident, injury, death, damage, delay, inconvenience or distress, whether or not arising by the negligence of the Property Owner or Manager and the Guests hereby waive any and all such liability.

The Guest booking this accommodation is responsible for making all members of the party aware of these terms, failing which the said Guest will be held liable to and shall save harmless and indemnify the Property Owner and/or Manager, from any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising as a result thereof.
