Trail Status and Conditions
Stay informed about the current status of Oatka Snowmobile Club trails. Here are recent updates:
- Trails are open: Get out and ride today!
- Grooming: Most of the groomers were running overnight.
- Drifts: Crews are working hard to keep up with the drifts.
- Specific Areas: The Tucker will be working on some drifts just south of Hall Rd on s34, by the wind mills. Please slow down in that area.
- Letchworth: All of Letchworth is open.
- Bathroom Access: The bathroom at the Perry camping access will not be open until late Monday due to the construction going on.
- Warm Weather Advisory: Please don’t ride once the temperature goes above freezing or in the rain, as this hurts the trails badly.
The trails were in great shape recently and with more snow coming this week, the groomers will get them back to where they are if they get rough.
Trail Conditions Overview
Here’s a summary of what you can expect on the trails:
- Base: Good hard base in many areas.
- Ice: Expect really fast trails and a lot of ice. There are also spot that are glare ice, like a skating rink.
- Woods: The woods are bumpy, but not too bad.
- Fields: The fields are getting really smooth.
The trails west of Gainesville and Warsaw are nice. Expect really fast trails and a lot of ice.

Trail Opening and Closing Information
Stay updated on trail status, as it can change rapidly based on weather conditions:
- Closures: Trails are sometimes closed due to weather and landowner’s concerns.
- Partial Openings: Sometimes trails are partially opening, such as east of RT 19 with certain exceptions. Please stay west of RT 19.
As of 11:59 PM Friday our trails may be closing. With the warm temperatures coming in and marginal trail conditions the best way to protect what little we have is to close the trails.
