Winter is back, so get ready to hit the slopes! Here's your go-to guide for snow conditions in Montana.
Current Conditions
The snow report is a subjective assessment of terrain and weather conditions each day. Actual depths may vary across the mountain and change throughout the day. The past two days of snow is skiing beautifully, and something tells me it's going to be another sweet day out on the Big. I'll be gathering more info throughout the day and reporting it to you all right here on the snow report. Get after it!
- Trails Open: 39/39
- Lifts Open: 4/4

Weather Forecast
Today's forecast: Sunny, with a high near 9!
It’s going to be cold out on the hill. Expect the high to be around 11 degrees today at the summit and about 18 at the base. Be aware that it may feel much colder than that with consistent wind speeds of 10 mph at the summit and gusts up to 15 mph. Keep your skin covered throughout the day and remember to take breaks to warm up!
Base area stats reflect natural snowfall only.

Safety on the Slopes
More crowds also mean more people on the slopes. Be aware and control your speed to keep yourself and those around you safe. Remember you can stop into Ed & Mully's in the village area as well! The Summit House and Base Lodge may be busy due to high amounts of visitors and cold temps.
Plan for larger crowds over the holidays! Yesterday our parking completely filled up by the afternoon, so save yourself the headache by taking the S.N.O.W. Bus! Many spots yesterday were taken up by single-passenger vehicles. Consider calling up a few friends and carpooling, as we expect similar numbers of visitors today. Our magnificent free village and parking lot shuttles will be running today to deliver you to your destination.
When you exit the marked boundaries of the resort, you are entering backcountry terrain where natural and human-caused avalanches can occur. The resort does not conduct avalanche mitigation on those slopes. Did you know tree wells can be deadly? How do you ski or ride safely in early-season conditions?
