Where to Go Snow Tubing in Banff

Banff offers two fantastic locations for snow tubing:

  • Mt. Norquay's Tube Park: Located just ten minutes from the town of Banff.
  • Lake Louise Ski Resort: Make your way to the beginner carpet area, get a tube and spend the day riding our 2 lane 'Sunny Tube' run.

Mt. Norquay's Tube Park

Jump on an inflatable snow tube and hold on tight as you slide, spin and speed across the snow. Mt. Norquay’s Tube Park offers fresh mountain air, legendary views and an easy adrenalin rush! With 8 lanes of high-speed fun, this tube park is the largest in Alberta.

When you get here, just take a short walk from the North American Lodge at the base area of the resort. Tubes are supplied, and the purpose-built magic carpet towing system will pull you to the top of the specially groomed tubing lanes, so there’s no need to walk uphill after each ride. The tube park also has a small sliding area, and a kids play area. So there’s even more to do on the tubing hill for your little ones.

Ski areas are perfect for skiing and snowboarding, but if you prefer to to try something new - why not cruise down the hill on an inflatable tube? Snow tubing is just like tobogganing - only better! Fly down the groomed lanes on your own or race side-by-side with friends and family.

Important Information

Before you head out for a day of snow tubing, here’s some important information to keep in mind:

  • Age and Height Restrictions: Children must be 42″ tall and 4+ years to use the tube park.
  • Booking: Sessions must be booked in advance.
  • Waiver: An Exclusion of Liability (waiver) is required for each participant.
  • Footwear: Ski boots are not allowed in the Tube Park.
  • Supervision: Parents/Guardians are responsible for the supervision of all minors.
  • Tickets: Pre-purchasing tickets is required as tubing sessions are limited in capacity. Tickets are non-refundable.
  • Helmets: Helmets are recommended for all tubers. Children under 12 must wear a helmet at Lake Louise.
  • One Person Per Tube: Tubes cannot be ridden in ski boots.

Lake Louise Ski Resort: The Tube Park opens at 10:00am until 4:00pm daily.

Session Times

Mt. Norquay:

  • Morning session: 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Afternoon session: 1:00pm-4:00pm
  • Evening session: Friday and Saturday nights 5pm - 8:00pm
