This designated network is ranked as one of the top 10 places to ride in the nation, featuring parking, pit stops, and warming shelters. The 1.2 million-acre Black Hills National Forest boasts 350 miles of groomed snowmobile trails which are part of the SD and WY snowmobile program. These trails traverse pine forests, open meadows and climb up to 6,000 feet in elevation for spectacular mountain views. Trails officially open December 1 and are groomed from December 15 - March 31. For those yearning to break new track, there are very few unavailable locations. Northern Hills (Spearfish) region of Black Hills National forest is another popular area. The western region of Black Hills National Forest is a popular spot, including several campgrounds close to trails.

Our lodge is conveniently located right on the Black Hills snowmobile trails. Rent one of our snowmobiles, and explore nature at its finest.   • Trails are open for the season! Use the Interactive Snowmobile Map for trail information, current conditions, and live camera feeds.

We strive to offer quality, well maintained trail sleds. All rentals include gear (bibs, jackets and backpacks) for no additional fee. The only thing we do not include are boots and gloves. All rentals include a full-face DOT and ECE Approved Helmet.

Renegade Snowmobiles:

Built for the riders with an unquenchable thirst for high-mileage adventures and premium performance. Renegade snowmobiles are built for whatever’s around the next bend. Improved Trail capacity and flatter cornering deliver a high-performance trail riding experience that surpassed all expectations. Passengers can be 42" tall.
