Wolf Laurel Resort is a gated community of over 5,000 acres located just off I-26, approximately 30 miles north of Asheville, NC. This mature community was started in 1965 and has elevations ranging from 3,800 feet to over 5,000 feet above sea level. The resort is mostly surrounded by The Pisgah National Forest and boasts 3 entrances to the Appalachian Trail. Also, recently added was a 750 acre nature land preserve trust.
Wolf Laurel Resort provides year-round recreational activities including horseback riding, tennis, a heated swimming pool, hiking trails, a stocked trout pond with numerous creeks, events pavilions, children’s programs, and golf. Eighty acres of ski slopes and tubing offer ample winter fun.

Winter Activities and Amenities
Whether you’ve never tried the sport or are an avid enthusiast, Wolf Ridge Resort has something to offer everyone. Furthermore, the slopes allow skiers of all types to partake - consisting of plenty of each type (beginner, intermediate, and advanced). The Wolf peaks at an elevation of 4,700 feet and sits in the shadow of Big Bald Mountain.
The lodge overlooking the slopes offers multiple fireplaces, a cafeteria, gift shop, rental shop, and group sales department. Wolf Ridge Ski Resort relies on mother nature to do most of the work, but they are able to give her a helping hand as long as the temperature is where they need it to be. So if they don’t receive enough natural snow, they can make their own!
The facility offers boots, poles, and shaped skis ranging in length from 80 cm. to 178 cm for skiers. For the snowboarder, they have boots and boards ranging in length from 94 cm. to 154 cm. They also rent helmets, snow bibs, and lockers.

Enjoy all that our 2,000-acre outdoor classroom has to offer, including 18 miles of hiking and skiing trails, multiple lakes and streams, and the tranquility of the natural world.
The lodge features 25 rooms, each accommodating 4 to 8 guests with twin-sized bunk beds. We provide linens for all beds, and guests are asked to bring their own toiletries. Handicapped-accessible rooms are available to ensure a welcoming experience for all.
