Cider Barn Ice Rink
Located at 1873 County Road 520 N in Fairfield, IL, Cider Barn Tree Farm transforms into a magical ice skating rink from Thanksgiving through the end of February, weather permitting. The crisp winter air is filled with laughter and the sound of blades gliding effortlessly across the ice.
Visitors can experience the joy of gliding under the open sky, surrounded by towering trees adorned with twinkling lights. Whether you're a seasoned skater or a novice, the rink offers a welcoming space for all skill levels to enjoy the simple pleasure of ice skating. Cider Barn Ice Rink Hours and Availability
- Public ice skating sessions are offered every weekend while weather permits.
- The rink is also open on all school holidays and closings.
- Our public ice skating hours vary due to private events, school Holidays, and weather conditions.
- Field trips and private parties can be scheduled anytime through the week as well as on the weekends.

Cider Barn Rentals and Events
- Cider Barn Ice Rink can be rented for private parties and added on to any winter rental of Cider Barn.

Field Trips at Cider Barn
Field trips are offered through the week at a discounted student rate. Field trips include:
- Visiting Cider Barn Stable and feeding and petting tame deer and various animals.
- Ice Skating.
- A cup of hot chocolate.
- For an extra $2.00 per student, a fire pit and roasting smores can be added.
You can reserve your visit ahead of time, but it is not required.

Weather Conditions and Cancellations
In the event of inclement weather (weather above 50 degrees for several days or heavy rainfall) may inhibit proper ice freezing, in which case we will have to postpone or cancel skating for the day. Any tickets or party reservations bought and paid in advance will be valid for any date throughout the remainder of the season. Alternate dates will be offered for party rescheduling.

Each year, our rink magically transforms into a dazzling Winter Wonderland, adorned with festive lights, charming decorations, and holiday music. It's our most joyful and festive time of the year.

Wonderland Ice Rink
In 2007, a capital improvement project added a second National Hockey (NHL)-sized skating rink and a new curling facility and lobby. Still to be completed are renovations to the existing locker rooms, restrooms and old lobby.
Activities and Programs at Wonderland
In addition to figure skating, hockey and curling, Wonderland offers:
- Public skating
- Lessons in skating, hockey and figure skating
- Skate rentals
- A pro shop
- Snack bar
A restaurant and bar will be added down the road.
Hockey at Wonderland
Youth, high school, college and adult league hockey is played at the rink. The rink is home to:
- The Fairfield Prep Varsity and JV hockey teams
- Fairfield High School Boys and Girls Varsity hockey teams
- Laurelton Hall Girls Varsity hockey team
- The Sacred Heart Men’s Club Hockey teams
The Connecticut Storm, a statewide team for youth with special needs is based at Wonderland. A summer league that attracts NHL and Division I college players from the Northeast also plays at the rink.

Figure Skating at Wonderland
The facility is home to the Bridgeport Skating Club, a member of the US Figure Skating Association. Be sure to check out all of our other programs such as Learn to Skate, Learn to play hockey, Freestyle, Hockey camps and so much more.
Martire Family Arena at Sacred Heart University
The Martire Family Arena is the crown jewel of Sacred Heart’s robust, multi-year building and expansion program, reflecting the institution’s significant growth and national status. The sophisticated venue serves not only the SHU athletic teams, but also the University community and residents in the region at large. Sacred Heart’s new arena acts as a practical learning laboratory for students to hone their craft working behind the same technology used in professional sports.
