A Decade of Broadcasting Excellence
The 2023-24 NHL season marked the 14th consecutive year that all NY Islanders live game broadcasts aired on WRHU FM Radio Hofstra University. Since 2010, WRHU students have produced and distributed over 1,100 live game broadcasts of NY Islanders hockey. Hofstra students once again produced, engineered, and performed on-air roles on all NY Islanders live game broadcasts across a network of stations and platforms. Amazing!
This long-standing collaboration has provided students with unparalleled opportunities to gain hands-on experience in sports broadcasting, working alongside industry professionals and honing their skills in a real-world environment.

For the 2023-24 season WRHU staff produced Islanders games that aired on ESPN Radio New York City (1050AM or 98.7FM) Sirius / XM, "LI News Radio" WRCN FM Long Island, WRHU FM, and NHL.com /Game-Center App. In previous seasons Hofstra students at WRHU produced Islanders live game broadcasts that aired on sports radio WFAN AM/FM NYC, WCBS 880AM NYC, 970 AM The Answer NYC, 570 AM The Mission NYC, WNYE FM NYC, and Radio.com.
