The Bootfitting Journey

The bootfitting journey can be broken down into three phases:

  1. Finding the Right Boot: Bootfitters will assist you in finding a boot which can accommodate your foot and skiing style.
  2. Custom Footbed Molding: After finding a boot that is a fit, a custom footbed is molded to the unique contours of your footshape and trimmed to fit your boot liner.
  3. Fine Tuning: Expert bootfitters will micro adjust your boot liner and shell to produce a fit that provides you with comfort and performance.

Boot adjustments and modifications can be made throughout the lifetime of your boot and in some cases are covered for the first year after you purchase a new boot from Bentgate.

Bentgate EXCLUSIVELY sells Alpine Touring, Crossover and Telemark Ski boots. The boots in their selection provide a walk mode and some amount of cuff rotation which allows the skier to transition between ski mode and walk mode in order to obtain objectives where uphill and downhill travel is necessary.

Scheduling an Appointment at Bentgate

Bootfitting appointments are for a single customer only. Couples or related parties will need to schedule 2 appointment slots if you want to be fit together. Please contact them before your appointment for any further questions or concerns.

If you are trying on ski boots, hiking boots, or trail runners, please bring appropriate socks and any footbeds that you would like to incorporate during the fit. Try-on-socks are not available.

Please arrive on time. Customers arriving later than 15 mins will be required to reschedule their appointment.

All bootfit fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to another date, up to 24 hours in advance of your appointment. Any adjustments to a ski boot purchased from Bentgate are covered for 1 year when purchased with a custom footbed ($180).

Custom Footbed (1 hour)

This appointment is for the purchase of a Custom footbed for your existing ski boot or other footwear. Choose this appointment if you ONLY need a custom footbed. Additional footbed costs are listed here:

  • Ski Boot Custom Footbed - $180 plus tax
  • Bike Shoe Custom Footbed - $125 plus tax
  • Hike/Run Shoe Footbed - $125 plus tax

Boot Fitting for a Boot Purchased at Bentgate or Bentgate.com (1 hour)

This appointment is for custom fitting a new ski boot purchased in store or from bentgate.com. This time can be used to purchase a custom footbed($180) and heat mold the liner or shell if applicable of your new boot.

Boot Modification within a year of Boot Purchase at Bentgate (1 hour)

This appointment is for making an adjustment within 365 days of a boot purchase at Bentgate. This appointment is for assessing a minor fit adjustment. This appointment is NOT long enough for heat molding a boot or building a new custom footbed. If you are looking to accomplish either of those things please book Boot Fitting for a Boot Purchased at Bentgate or Bentgate.com or Custom Footbed appointment types.

Boot Fitting for a Boot NOT Purchased at Bentgate (1 hour)

This appointment is for the custom fitting of a new ski boot purchased elsewhere. This time can be used to purchase a custom footbed for your new boot($180).
