Spotlight on Kate: A Rising Waterskiing Star

Kate is very passionate about water skiing. She keeps one thing in her mind: "to take the good out of the bad sets and come back later and do better than ever!" Kate is from Burlington, Wisconsin and started her skiing career with the Aquanut Waterski Show Team. 2024 was only the second time she competed in 3-event Regionals and Nationals as she started 3-event waterskiing in 2023. She says, "while I started not long ago, I just put in the work to keep improving." She is not done yet as she will keep pushing.

Kate’s 64ft jump helped her win Jump & Overall at 2024 Midwest Regionals which she followed up with a 70ft jump which earned her 1st place in Jump at 2024 Nationals and 2nd place Overall. Kate represented the Midwest for the National Junior All-Star Team where the Midwest took home GOLD at 2024 3-Event Nationals. Something she will never forget is the words of encouragement her family provides to her!

Kate’s favorite event is jump but she enjoys many things on the water including surfing, knee boarding with cousins, and double tricking with her brother, Jacob!

Kate also loves to snow ski and competes in Alpine Racing with SWATeam. She has been skiing as long as she can remember.

  • Certification: AWSA approved for slalom tournaments.
  • Dimensions: 19 ft.
  • Features: Center aluminum pylon and a compass installed on the dash.

Slalom tournament boats are designed with a flat bottom to minimize wake for slalom wake crossings. It is mechanically sound and ready for serious slalom skiing or recreational use.
