Trail Information

Trail 124 is now OPEN. Please respect private land owner rights. Trails remain flat with low traffic.

Other Trail Conditions:

  • Michigan Tech: Expect soft, wet and slow conditions as the temps rise throughout the day. Tomorrow is not looking good for grooming. We will assess in the morning.
  • Swedetown Snow Bike: Loops 1-3 (Snowroll, Snowflake, and Polar Pedal) have been dragged to smooth out last night's dusting. It is a little warm out so be aware of any marks you are leaving in the trail please. It's shaping up to be a nice day for a ride! Enjoy!
  • Chassell Ski Trails: Trails look beautiful after last night's snow!
  • Churning Rapids & Maasto: All trails in Maasto were dragged and tracked.
  • Churning Rapids Snow Bike: The fresh and windblown snow seems to have packed in fairly well. Riding should be decent on Sunday afternoon and beyond. The xc ski trail is now groomed down Christensen Road to M203, so that is now an option for snow bike trail access.
  • Copper Harbor Trails Club "End of the Road Trails": Rock Solid Trails out clearing trails.

Snow Accumulation and Preservation

Silver Mt. early season accumulation should be average for western areas. Silver has a higher proportion of north facing terrain than most areas in its region and thus better snow preservation. Like other interior Northwest areas Silver Mt. can get occasional rain.

Even though Silver's gondola base is just off Interstate 90, it has a local reputation for low skier density and powder lasting a very long time.
