Maintaining the Vail Stool involves specific care for each material:
- Boucle: A 100% polyester fabric known for its cozy texture, durability, and refined style. Blot spills immediately with a clean, colorfast towel. Spot clean with a damp cloth or sponge, gently blotting to remove excess water, then air dry.
- Linen: A natural, breathable fabric that brings a relaxed sophistication to any setting. Vacuum clean frequently using a furniture nozzle. Remove stains as soon as they occur using a water-based upholstery cleaner to spot clean.
- Leather: Rich and luxurious, this material softens beautifully with age. Avoid placing in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Rub out minor scratches lightly with your finger. Wipe excess oil-based spots with a clean, dry cloth-do not apply water.
- Velvet: Soft and inviting, velvet offers a plush, tactile feel that adds warmth and depth to any interior. Vacuum clean frequently using a furniture nozzle. Remove stains as soon as they occur using a water-based upholstery cleaner to spot clean.

Care Instructions for Leather
Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near a heat source to keep your leather seating looking its best. Rub out minor scratches lightly with a finger. Wipe any excess oil-based spots and spills with a clean, dry cloth. Do not apply water. Instead, leave the spot alone: In most cases, the spot should dissipate into the leather after some time. For permanent stains or thorough cleanings, we recommend contacting a leather specialist.

Care Instructions for Boucle
Blot spills immediately with a clean, colorfast towel. Spot clean with a damp cloth or sponge, gently blotting to remove excess water, then air dry. The boucle is treated with DEFEND for maximum protection.
Unfortunately, the cover cannot be washed as it is non-removable. However, you can still maintain the boucle fabric's cleanliness by spot-cleaning it with a damp cloth or sponge. Gently blot the affected area to remove excess water and allow it to air dry. Wipe any excess oil-based spots or spills on the leather with a clean, dry cloth. Please avoid using water on the leather.
Dimensions
Measuring for the perfect seating height is a breeze! Measure to the bottom of your counter or bar overhang to determine the ideal height for your stools. For standard counter height, measure 35” to 36” above floor level; for bar height, measure 40” to 42” off the floor. To ensure a comfortable and practical seating arrangement, we suggest leaving a gap of 26" - 30" between the centers of each bar stool. This allows for at least 8" - 10" of space between each seat, enabling easy ingress and egress without the risk of elbow collisions. This will ensure that your guests can enjoy their drinks and meals comfortably and without any discomfort.

Denver Modern: The Story Behind the Brand
When launching Denver Modern, their direct-to-consumer furniture brand, in 2018, husband-and-wife team Donnie Criswell and Lindsey Price-Criswell took a strategic approach, starting with a small, curated portfolio of considered styles.
With such a stable foundation in place, the Criswells have more than earned this moment to take a beat, evaluate their trajectory, and dream for the future.
Later this spring, all facets of Denver Modern’s business-showroom, warehouse and corporate offices-will join forces in a 50,000-square-foot space in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood. The move is the latest step up for a company that once operated out of its founders’ dining room.
We’re actually both from Georgia, but we met out here. We’re both compelled by the West and Colorado in particular. The environment we live in has always impacted our thinking.
