The East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID) is gearing up to celebrate the winter season with the opening of an ice skating rink in New Caney, Texas. Whether the weather brings chilly breezes or mild temperatures, EMCID aims to create "A Holiday to Remember" with this exciting new attraction.
The ice skating rink will open in December and operate daily through the New Year until January. This initiative provides families with a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a shared activity during the holiday break.
Location and Accessibility
The rink will be located at 11985 N. Grand Parkway E., at the corner of Valley Ranch Pkwy. and Valley Ranch Blvd., near the future amphitheater. Convenient parking will be available at New Caney ISD’s Texan Drive Stadium.
Planning and Construction
In the planning phase since summer, the ice skating rink will be constructed by Conroe-based Ice Rink Events. The process, beginning with preparing the ground and ending with a tented ice rink complete with sales counter, skate shop, decking and benches, will take a little over a week.
