Key Zones and Terrain Features
Snowbird’s terrain is divided into three primary zones: Peruvian Gulch, Gad Valley, and Mineral Basin. Each offers distinct experiences, from steep chutes to wide-open bowls.
Peruvian Gulch
Peruvian Gulch features advanced terrain with runs like Silver Fox and Great Scott, accessed via the Snowbird Tram. This zone is north-facing, preserving snow quality and offering technical descents for expert skiers.
Gad Valley
Gad Valley caters to all skill levels, with beginner terrain near the Baby Thunder lift and more challenging runs off Gad 2 and Little Cloud. West Second South and Chickadee are ideal for new skiers, while advanced riders can explore Gad Chutes and Tiger Tail for steeper lines and tree skiing.

Mineral Basin
Mineral Basin is south-facing and known for its sunlit bowls and intermediate-friendly terrain. Runs like Lupine Loop and Powder Paradise offer long, flowing descents with stunning views.
Natural features like the Cirque and Bookends Bowl add depth to the terrain, with cliff drops and powder stashes rewarding adventurous skiers.
Lifts and Access
The Aerial Tram is the resort’s signature lift, transporting skiers from base to summit in under seven minutes.
